The two main ingredients each have some nutritional value. Keep in mind that egg coffee is usually made with sweetened condensed milk, so it is a sugary treat rather than a health drink.

Benefits of coffee

Coffee makes you feel more alert. In observational studies, regular coffee drinkers have a lower risk of some conditions, such as type 2 diabetes, but this does not prove coffee prevents them.

The FDA says about 400 mg of caffeine a day is not generally linked to harmful effects in most healthy adults. Pregnant people and those sensitive to caffeine should ask their doctor.

Egg yolks

Egg yolks contain vitamins A, D, E and K, along with choline, protein and the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin.

Choline is needed for normal brain and nerve function. Yolks are also high in cholesterol, so people told to limit it should keep egg coffee occasional.
